Doctor Who "Rose"

Season 1, Episode 1

The Rose and the Doctor bump into each other in the midst of the Doctor's attempt to stop and an army of Manikin androids that are attempting to destroy the world. Though the Doctor finds the androids more resilient than he realized and before he knows it, he and Rose are working hand in hand to help save the human population.

However, their situation quickly goes from good too bad, when they locate the source controlling the Androids, its also at this time we learn that the Doctor is the last of the Time Lords and his foe is actually an ancient enemy, and one of the only other survivors of the Time Wars.

Seeing how distracted the Doctor is with grief, Rose decides to take matters into her own hands, As she takes a nearby hanging rope and swings into the Androids freeing the Doctor. This allows the Doctor to thwart the alien’s plan as well as put a stop to the Androids' mayhem.

After the threat passes, the Doctor is so impressed by Rose's help and quick thinking during through out the crises that once the threat is resolved, he offers her the adventure of a lifetime. To exploring the Universe and see things that only a handful of other people ever saw.
