The Karate Kid

When Daniels mother finds work in a new state, they move and he quickly finds it difficult to adjust to the new surroundings. After getting into a couple fights and losing, Daniel is about ready to give up when the apartment's maintenance man, Mr. Miyaki, befriends the teen and shows him a better way to defend himself and manage his aggressions through Karate.

Daniel then enters into a Karate competition, where he is able to earn respect from those that had previously bullied him.
