A documentary style short broken into two parts that provides a prequal to the Matrix Trilogy. Explaining how Mankind celebrated the triumph of the first true Artificially Intelligent robots and how their creation eventually developed awareness. Which lead to a struggle for superiority which then resulting into a war between man and machine. The overall result was the machines turning the human race into a source of energy. |

The Final Flight of the Osiris |

Prequal to The Matrix Reloaded; possibly the most well known Animatrix movie short. Begins with a sparring match in a virtual duo-go between the Captain and one of the crew. Just as the match reaches its intensity, the crew is alerted to sentinel activity, which turns out to be miles above Zion. The Captain sends one of his crew into the Matrix too drop off a message to alert Zion of the pending invasion. The drop is made only moment’s before the Osiris is lost. |

The Kid |

A side story, which provides a short background to The Kid character who appears in the second and third Matrix sequels. The story explains how he met Neo, as a confused Highschool teenager who has dreams convincing him that his reality is merely a dream world. Not long after his online encounter with Neo, the Kid finds himself in a very un-real situation. At the conclusion he makes a move that defies all odds and wakes up with Neo and Trinity hovering over him. |

The Detective's Story |

|
Another side in which a penniless Detective receives the case of a life-time with an equally attractive upfront payment. However, the more he learns about his new case, the stranger things become. When he finally tracks down Trinity, she explains the situation. The result is the Detective switches sides allowing Trinity to escape. |

World Record |

|
A Famous athlete seeks to pass his previous world record in track regardless of the advice of his friends and family. As race begins he quickly takes the lead, running to fast for even the Agents to try stopping him. Just as he reaches break-neck speeds he begins to glimpse the reality of his cell beyond the Matrix, only to be forced back into the Matrix by neck and arm restraints. Though severely injured, the momentum he gained causes him too fall through the finish line, while still in first place. After which he is shown in a wheelchair a fraction of his former self, that is until an Agent utters victoriously, that he will probably never walk again. Which pushes the Athlete to regain his senses and stand once again. |
