The Core
2003 - Directed by Jon Amiel

The Earths’ core stops rotating as a side effect of an experimental weapon the governments decides to test. This results in Geographic disasters that are otherwise unexplainable. The government assembles a team of Scientists and engineers to construct a vehicle that to journey too the Earths’ core. After the team finishes the vehicles construction and prepares for their journey. They take several explosive devices, to set off a chain reaction to help the Earths’ core start rotating again.

In the midst of their journey they run into a few challenges; such as losing control of their vehicle and running into a gigantic crystal that becomes wedged into the vehicles front end. Though overall they complete their mission and save the Earth.

My Comments:
The story plot was entertaining, even if it was a little far fetched. Though to truly enjoy it, you may need to look past the minor inconsistencies; such as loose fitting body gear that are meant to protect an individuals’ body from extreme heat and pressure. Because overall “The Core” has a lot of fun and interesting scenes; I will write more about those in the near future.
