The main story line is well thought out, imaginative, and exciting. While the underlining story that focused on segregation based on physical or mental differences, was thought provoking and heart felt. The movie did a clever job putting a science fiction-like spin on the subject that by its very nature is touchy. Asking the question why do people have such a difficult time seeing past, what they perceive as a flaw, or weird, or just simply different and instead seeing a unique gift.

On the other side it gave a look into various abilities that many people would probably love to have; such as the ability to lift objects with one's mind, or shooting bolts of energy out of one's eyes. Or even yet the ability to control weather itself.
